GolfBC Announces Sale of Arbutus Ridge Golf Club

GolfBC Group (“GolfBC”) announces that it has closed on the sale of Arbutus Ridge Golf Club in Cobble Hill, BC.

To ensure the smooth continuation of operations, the current team of managers and staff will be retained under the new management, and all existing Memberships in the Club and all Membership Agreements will remain in effect. GolfBC will continue to work with Arbutus Ridge during this transition to facilitate minimal disruption to the member and guest experience, including the continuation of the arbutusridge.com website and online tee time reservations. Effective immediately, Arbutus Ridge is no longer part of GolfBC programs and partnerships, including the loyalty rewards or gift cards. Existing facility-specific passes and Game Packs will be honoured by Arbutus Ridge until their expiry.

GolfBC will continue to proudly operate all its other golf courses in British Columbia and Hawaii, and members of GolfBC’s loyalty and gift programs can continue to enjoy benefits at the remainder of its participating properties.

Arbutus Ridge was listed for sale after a review of GolfBC’s new strategic direction, where the focus of the company is on golf assets located within 20 kilometers of major metropolitan centers and resorts, which includes increased investment in its properties which meet those same geographic parameters. Included in its new strategic mandate is the growth of GolfBC’s food and beverage program and other leisure activities to diversify product and service offerings within its already successful golf operations.

The Arbutus Ridge facility has thrived for over 25 years and continues to provide outstanding value to residents of the community as well as golf enthusiasts both on the golf course and in the clubhouse. The establishment has taken great pride in its environmental sustainability efforts and has earned numerous accolades over the years, including the 2017 Tourism Vancouver Island Employer of the Year award. GolfBC would like to thank the staff, management, members, residents and guests of Arbutus Ridge for being a part of our golf family for the past 27 years, and wish the new owners and the facility much success in the coming years.
