Arbutus Ridge Golf Club introduces "Kids Eat Free"
14th February, 2014
The Satellite Bar & Grille at Arbutus Ridge Golf Club announces the latest addition to its kid and family programs: Kids Eat Free. Kids Eat Free is a new trial to help support existing family programs and build on the success of the Satellite Bar & Grille restaurant business.
“The Satellite Bar & Grille has been very successful, we want to add to this success by attracting more families”, says General Manager Jason Lowe. “The Kids Eat Free also ties into many other existing programs at Arbutus Ridge such as: Kids Play Free, Sunday Family Golf Day, Wednesday Night Juniors and more”, he added.
Kids twelve and under will dine for free with a paying adult and choose from five menu selections. Menu selection includes: Macaroni and Cheese, Chicken Tenders and Fries, Chicken Quesadilla, Grilled Cheese and Fries, Grilled Chicken Breast with Rice and Vegetables and a beverage. The Satellite Bar & Grille has a special family friendly license where kids are welcome in the lounge or dining room areas. Kids Eat Free is a trial offer expiring March 31, 2014.
Arbutus Ridge Golf Club is 25 minutes from the outskirts of Victoria, 10 minutes from Duncan and 40 minutes from Nanaimo, in the Cowichan area of Vancouver Island. The course is directly surrounded by nine wineries within five to fifteen minutes, has a four star Golf Digest Rating and is one of the Top 10 Golf Courses in Canada for Value, as distinguished by Westjet UP! Magazine. The management team measures their performance based on the triple bottom line to incorporate social and environmental performance and has a staff led Greening Committee. The facility also includes the Satellite Bar & Grille, GBC Golf Academy and three indoor tennis courts. The Satellite Bar & Grille is a separate restaurant brand used by the Arbutus Ridge Golf Club to help breakdown the stigma of being a “golf course restaurant” and the name is based on the ocean views of the Satellite Channel area.
Arbutus Ridge Golf Club is owned by GolfBC, a Vancouver-based golf and resort management and investment company defining a higher standard of quality and consistency among premier golf destinations. Since 1989 GolfBC has been creating premium golf destinations and master planned golf communities in British Columbia. GolfBC is the owner/operator of nine golf courses in British Columbia and three in Hawaii.
