GolfBC Group, Your First Choice for Golf, Announces "GolfBC Free Lesson Month"
18th April, 2006
Vancouver, B.C.– The month of May, all of
GolfBC’s 9 golf courses in British Columbia will be
participating in “GolfBC Free Lesson Month”
on Saturdays. The GolfBC Group is pleased to follow-up
the launch of their 2005 Learn to Play, Play More Often programs,
“Kids Play Free at GolfBC”,
“Beginner Friendly Certification” and
“Take-a-kid to the Course Week” (in
partnership with the NGCOA). “GolfBC Free
Lesson Month” is the fourth of many initiatives that
has been launched by GolfBC since 2005, under the
“Learn to Play, Play More Often”
banner.
Participating courses are Nicklaus North, Furry Creek, Mayfair
Lakes, The Bear and The Quail at The Okanagan Golf Club,
Gallagher’s Canyon and The Pinnacle, Arbutus Ridge, and
Olympic View. “GolfBC Free Lesson
Month” will be offered at all properties on Saturdays
during the month of May from 4:00 to 6:00 PM and each facility will
have a Canadian PGA instructor on the practice tee providing
complimentary 10 minute instruction and tips. Range
balls and equipment will also be provided at no charge during the
free lesson times.
“GolfBC Free Lesson Month” is another
wonderful opportunity for GolfBC to strengthen our commitment to
Growing the Game of Golf”, said Andy Hedley, Vice
President of Operations, GolfBC British
Columbia. “We are committed to providing a
fun and enjoyable atmosphere to learn the game at all of our
facilities, and “GolfBC Free Lesson Month”
is an opportunity for new golfers to receive an introduction to the
game while offering all golfers a chance to receive a tip from one
of our Canadian PGA Professionals”, he added.
GolfBC, a Vancouver-based golf and resort management and
investment company, is defining a higher standard of quality and
consistency among premier golf destinations. Since 1989
GolfBC has been creating premium golf destinations and master
